An Explanation

Dear Reader,
I am afraid I am going on holiday with 'the fam' for two weeks, will have no internet access and hence will be unable to post. I was planning producing several outfit posts and publishing them at intervals during my holiday; however I got up too late and had too many things to prepare before going away (excuses, excuses haha). Anyway, please continue to leave me comments and I look forward to replying to them all on my return.

Pussybow Blouse

Today I am wearing:

Today has been a rather boring and lazy; I need to do more exciting things so I have something more interesting to write here! I have mainly pottered about the house due to the rain; however this wet weather will hopefully ease the hosepipe ban so my father can indulge once more in one of his favourite hobbies: gardening. This blouse and hair style makes me feel like a Victorian schoolgirl/character from 'Gossip Girl' haha; what do you think? Also, to keep you updated on the job search, I have been allocated one shift to work at Next over their sale. Has anyone else worked a sale shift at Next and if so, what are your experiences of it?

Socks and Sandals

Today I am wearing:

Yesterday I went out for drinks with friends in the evening and this is what I wore; I tried to keep my outfit as summery as possible, however the weather was not quite so summery (hence the cardigan) and even threatened with rain at a few points. Today I have been to Yorkshire to visit my mother's side of the family and my cousins have all grown so tall! I really want to see 'Eclipse' but I promised my best friend (who is wandering around Disneyworld at this very moment) that I would wait and see it with her; she just ruins everything haha. Tonight I am having a girls night in and watching 'Twilight' and 'New Moon' with some friends and a punnet of strawberries; you would never have guessed I was eighteen.

Body Con Dress

Today I am wearing:

I wore this outfit out to Manchester last night as we 'hit da clubs' for my friends' eighteenth. I bought this dress in the French Connection sale; it was reduced from £85 to £21 which i thought was quite the bargain! The material seems to be of good quality and it doesn't ride up (useful when you have had one too many). My only criticism would be that its long-sleeves make it not the best-adapted piece of clothing for dancing. On another note, has anyone tried the gel cushions designed to relieve the discomfort of wearing high heels (I haven't and the balls of my feet are still tingling from last night)?

So much for summer; today in Manchester we are enduring drizzle! After getting soaked on my morning jog (which I in fact found quite refreshing haha), I have written my CV and am off job-hunting about town this afternoon. However, before then I am going to email my best friend who is 'chillaxing by the pool' in Florida; we agreed to be pen-pals before she went, but on second thoughts, this is just making me jealous :(

Stripes and Shorts

Today I went shopping with my Mother and purchased these cute black denim shorts. She also treated me to lunch at one of my favourite restaurants: Pesto (an Italian tapas style restaurant) - I highly recommend the asparagus! I am getting quite nervous about university now; especially missing my family and not being able to make friends. Is anyone else going to university in September, and if so, how do you feel about it?

Hello Internet

Hello cyber friend, glad you could reach me.
Guess what... my A Levels exams have finished and in between enjoying a 'dazzling' social life and enduring the wait for results, I have decided that starting a blog might be a good idea.
My name is Amy and I am eighteen years old. I am hopefully (depending upon the aforementioned results) going to university in September to study biology but before then, I plan on having a very fun summer. I have an inquisitive character and a diverse collection of interests. I am starting a blog because all the cool kids are doing it and I would like to share my outfits and see what you people think of them ;)
